GEP specializes in assisting its clients with their financing goals - whether a refunding for debt service savings, or funding for a new dormitory. We always provide value for our clients, in part because there are so many places where value can be earned. Sometimes we are first to raise an opportunity, sometimes we encourage lower rates and fees for our clients, and sometimes we're a trusted pair of hands helping to meet a difficult deadline.
Past projects include:
- The University of the Virgin Islands - GEP rallied the troops as generally falling interest rates and a significant rally in the Treasury market offered a unique opportunity to secure low-cost financing for this Historically Black University. GPE worked from initial planning through closing of UVIs $60 million Treasury Indexed Bonds in June 2011. Proceeds were used to refund existing debt, and provide funds for a 100 room residence hall and other campus improvements.
- Port Authority of Allegheny County (PA) - GEP was co-advisor on a $252 million Special Revenue Transportation Bond that ultimately funded the termination of a Swap Agreement that had been entered into back in 2004. This financing closed in March 2011.
- Southeastern Public Service Authority (VA) - GEP was hired as a financial advisor in 2009 at the end of a difficult set of negotiations between the Authority and the various city governments that comprised it. GEPs reputation for quality work and high integrity were critical in our being named an advisor on the $80 million financing that provided a financial infusion to our client.
We have proudly served clients from a wide range of industries, including:
- General governments
